SOSIAL MASYARAKAT SUKU ASLI; EKSISTENSI PROTO-MELAYU DI PULAU BENGKALIS ERA MODERNITAS

This study aims to answer the formulation of problems about interaction patterns of the Indigenous tribes in Bengkalis Island and their existence in the modernist era. Both problem formulations were described using a qualitative descriptive approach from various data in accordance with this study collected by questionnaire, interview, and observation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the patterns of interaction of Indigenous tribes lead to the form of associative interaction, where this pattern shows tend to be dynamic and have a relatively well established social relations pattern. Indigenous life tends to change both in the context of culture, economy, education, religion and politics.
Penelitian ini berupaya untuk menjawab rumusan masalah yang berkaitan dengan pola interaksi serta bentuk eksistensi dari Suku Asli yang berada di Pulau Bengkalis pada masa modernis sekarang ini. Kedua rumusan masalah tersebut dideskripsikan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dari berbagai data yang sesuai dengan kajian ini yang dikumpulkan dengan teknik angket, wawancara, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pola interaksi suku Asli mengarah pada bentuk interaksi asosiatif, dimana pola ini menunjukkan cenderung bersifat dinamis dan mempunyai pola hubungan sosial yang relatif mapan. Kehidupan Suku Asli cenderung berubah baik dalam konteks budaya, ekonomi, pendidikan, agama dan juga politik.
