Abstract

This study examines the effects of work environment, work supervision, and job training on occupational safety and health (K3) and work productivity, as well as the effect of K3 on work productivity among 200 employees at CV Griya Fajar Konstruksi, South Tangerang. A quantitative approach was employed using survey data from 200 employees and analysed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The results show that work environment and work supervision have positive and statistically significant effects on K3 and work productivity, while K3 has the strongest positive relationship with work productivity (β = 0.989; p < 0.001). In contrast, job training shows negative and statistically significant relationships with K3 (β = −0.437; p = 0.034) and work productivity (β = −0.285; p = 0.041). Five of the seven hypotheses are supported. The findings qualify the expected positive role of training by indicating that its provision alone does not necessarily translate into improved safety and productivity. The findings also highlight the importance of integrating supportive working conditions, consistent supervision, effective K3 practices, and relevant and practical training to support safe and productive construction operations.
