Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

Carefully read the submission guidelines as follows:

A. General Requirements

The minimum standard requirements of Akademika: Jurnal Keagamaan dan Pendidikan must be

  1. Written in English, Arabic, or Bahasa.
  2. The length of the submitted paper is at least 10 pages and no more than 15 pages. Editors will evaluate if a paper is needing more than 15 pages.
  3. Use of a tool such as Zotero or Mendeley for reference management and formatting and choose Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition (full note)
  4. Make sure that your paper is prepared using the Akademika Template

B. Structure of The Paper

The paper must be prepared and suggested present follow the structure:

  1. Title
    • The title should be simple, describe research aims, method/model, and objective, without Acronym or abbreviation, concise and informative with only the first word capitalized.
  2. Author(s) name(s) and affiliation(s)
    • A list of all authors, as well as corresponding addresses, and e-mail address should be provided. Each address should be preceded by a numerical superscript corresponding to the same superscript after the name of the author concerned. Addresses should contain all information necessary for effective mail delivery. E-mail should also be provided to speed up communication between readers and authors. This information will be published unless the authors request otherwise.
  3. Abstract
    • The Abstract has a maximum 200 WORDSNo citation; State in the abstract a primary objectiveresearch designmethodologymain outcomes, resultsand conclusions.
  4. Keywords
    • Add at least one and up to five keywords to your article. Keywords will allow your article to be more easily searchable when published.
  5. Section structure. Authors are suggested to present their articles in the section structure:

    -  Introduction

    The introduction should set the study in context by briefly reviewing relevant knowledge of the subject; follow this with a concise statement of the objectives of the study.

    Method
    A brief description of the methods/techniques used (the principles of these methods should not be described if readers can be directed to easily accessible references or standard texts).

    - Results and Discussion
    A clear presentation of experimental results obtained, highlighting any trends or points of interest. The results should not be repeated in both tables and figures. The discussion should relate to the significance of the observations.

    - Conclusion
    A brief explanation of the significance and implications of the work reported.

    - Acknowledgments

    Any individuals who contributed to the manuscript but do not meet the necessary criteria for authorship should be acknowledged. Acknowledgments should be limited to those who helped extensively, such as providing statistical help, essential equipment, or translating references.

  6. References. Minimum 20 sources are required for each article which is primarily 80% from journal papers.


Note:
  1. Reference should be written according to the format of reference. Articles are required to use reference management (Mendeley, Zotero, and Endnote).
  2. The article is research-based or thought-based in Religious studies and/or Education from all sides which is not published elsewhere either in print or online. The manuscript should be typed in a Word document with Times New Roman sized 12, 1.5 space, on A4 sized paper. Margin right-top-left-bottom: 2,5-3-3-2 cm.
  3. It must be used footnote. Type of citation Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition (full note).
  4. 80% of primary referrals are at least 16 journals which published not more than 5 years. Primary references can be from; journals, proceedings, research reports, patents, standards, historical documents, research books, etc. 20% of secondary literature (internet, books) published not more than 10 years. (We will return your article to be corrected if you do not format your references as required.)
  5. Arabic written guideline: The Arabic manuscript should be typed in Sakkal Majalla with font size 16, 1 space, on A4-sized paper.
