Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
    Artikel belum pernah diterbitkan sebelumnya, tidak sedang dalam proses editing, review, atau sedang dipertimbangkan pada jurnal lain.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
    Artikel wajib dalam format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, atau WordPerfect.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

  • The text is 1.5 spaced; uses a 12-point font of Times New Roman; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

  • The submission adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which are found in About the Journal.
    Artikel harus mengikuti Selingkung Jurnal Nun, Template, dan bibliografi yang diuraikan dalam Panduan Penulis, informasi ini dapat ditemukan di menu Tentang Jurnal.

Author Guidelines

Carefully read the submission guidelines as follows:

A. General Requirements
The minimum standard requirements of Nun: Journal of Arabic Studies must be

  1. Written in Arabic, English, or Indonesian.
  2. The length of the submitted paper is at least 15 pages and no more than 20 pages. Editors will evaluate if a paper is needing more than 20 pages.
  3. Use a tool such as Zotero or Mendeley for reference management and formatting and choose the Turabian of Style 8th Edition (full note)
  4. Make sure that your paper is prepared using the Nun: Journal of Arabic Studies Template

B. Structure of The Paper
The paper must be prepared and suggested present follow the structure:

  1. Title
    The title of the paper should describe research aims, method/model, and objective, without Acronym or abbreviation. All papers submitted should Have an English Title and Roman Script and no more than 20 words.
  2. Abstract 
    The Abstract has a maximum of 200 WordsNo citation; State in the abstract a primary objective, research design, methodology, main outcomes, results, findings, and conclusions.
  3. Keywords
    4-7 keywords; separate with the semicolon; alphabetical order. Keywords will allow your article to be more easily searchable when published
  4. Section structure
    Authors are suggested to present their articles in the section structure:
    -  Introduction
    The introduction should set the study in context by briefly reviewing relevant knowledge of the subject; follow this with a concise statement of the objectives of the study.

    - Method
    A brief description of the methods/techniques used (these methods' principles should not be described if readers can be directed to easily accessible references or standard texts).

    - Results and Discussion
    A clear presentation of experimental results obtained, highlighting any trends or points of interest. The results should not be repeated in both tables and figures. The discussion should relate to the significance of the observations.

    - Conclusion
    A brief explanation of the significance and implications of the work reported.

    - Acknowledgments (optional)
    Any individuals who contributed to the manuscript but do not meet the necessary criteria for authorship should be acknowledged. Acknowledgments should be limited to those who helped extensively, such as providing statistical help, essential equipment, or translating references.

    - References
    The article should have at least 15 references; 70% of primary references from national and/ or international journals paper published in the last 5 years and 30% of secondary literature can be from the internet or books published not more than 10 years. References are written in Turabian of Style 8th Edition (full note). Please use a consistent format for references.
