The Relationship Between Perceptions and Student Learning Motivation in Arabic Subject at Students of MTsN 1 Bengkalis

This research is motivated by the idea that perception influences students' learning motivation. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between perceptions and student learning motivation in Arabic language subjects among students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Bengkalis. The sample in the research was class VIIIA students and class VIIIB students, totaling 64 people. Meanwhile, the research population was all class VIII students, totaling 272 students. The sampling technique that researchers used was Simple Random Sampling. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used by author is the Product Moment Correlation technique with the help of SPSS (Statistical Program Society Science) version 22. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that there is a relationship between perceptions and student learning motivation in Arabic language subjects among students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Bengkalis. The correlation coefficient value was obtained at 0.600%. This value is greater than the "r" value of the significant table of 5%, namely 0.600 > 0.2471.
