Plagiarism Screening

Plagiarism Screening

All manuscripts submitted to ANANDA: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pembelajaran Anak Usia Dini must be original work and free of plagiarism. The manuscript must not have been published in any medium, and must not be submitted elsewhere while it is under review. Authors are responsible for the authenticity of the manuscript they submit.

Screening Procedure

  • Similarity is checked using Turnitin.
  • Screening is carried out twice: at initial assessment, before the manuscript is sent to reviewers, and again before publication after final revision.
  • Authors are encouraged to check the similarity of their manuscript themselves before submitting.
  • The similarity calculation excludes the reference list. Direct quotations that are properly attributed are not counted as plagiarism.

Similarity Thresholds

  • Overall similarity must not exceed 25 percent, excluding the reference list.
  • Similarity with any single source must not exceed 5 percent.
  • Manuscripts above 25 percent are returned to the authors for revision and may be resubmitted.
  • Manuscripts above 40 percent are rejected without further review.

Self-Plagiarism

Authors may not reuse substantial parts of their own published work without proper attribution. A manuscript developed from the authors' earlier work, including from an undergraduate, master's, or doctoral thesis, must state this openly in the method section or in an author's note.

Sanctions

  • A manuscript found to contain plagiarism is rejected and the authors are informed of the reason.
  • Where plagiarism is found after publication, the article is retracted and clearly marked as retracted with the reason stated, while its link remains accessible so that the publication record stays intact.
  • Serious breaches are reported to the authors' home institution.
  • Authors responsible for a serious breach are barred from submitting to this journal for two years, and permanently in the case of a repeated breach.
